Branches S081 and J058 - Whiting, IN - Join Hands Day Award Presentation

On Thursday morning, November 20th, the students of Saint John the Baptist Catholic School, with technology director Ms. Nies, re-engaged with members of The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association; Branches S081 and S452 of Whiting, Indiana. The objective of this meeting was the same as the Join Hands Day activity held last May: to use technology to communicate.

There was a specific classroom agenda; open the computer to the home page, which is the parish site, then go to FCSLA.org. Certainly, the participants proceed at different paces and saw the pages a bit differently. The "Ladies" calendar of events and community, were the featured pages.

Then, attention was placed at The Join Hands Day site; joinhandsday.org. This site recognized last Mays' activity as "Honorable Mention." I presented the certificate to Ms. Judy Nies, and applauded all for their willingness and diligence.

The students and members plan to continue working together, targeting next year's JHD activity.
