FCSLA In the Community: Branches Giving Back
Branch S007 Donates Religious Item
When the request for religious articles was read in the July Fraternally Yours issue, FCSLA branch S007 in Streator, IL, decided to answer the call. A notice was placed in the parish bulletin announcing the collection of new or gently used religious articles.
The collection continued for three weeks. The results were: 19 boxes of missals, prayer books, scapulars, medals, holy cards and rosaries. The items were mailed to Peter Gaidos, in Texas. He distributes these articles to Catholic Missions in Third World countries. This project was a huge success and branch members from S007 have decided to repeat this project again.
