FCSLA In the Community: Branch Get-Togethers
Branches S475 and J380: Captains Game
Senior Branch 475 and Junior Branch 380 members, families and friends enjoyed
a night of Captains Baseball (Cleveland Indians Class A farm club) on August
11, 2009 at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.
Upon arriving at the main gate, members were greeted by Branch Officers Helen
Basa and Chris Kiggins. Everyone was given a tote bag containing gift items
from the branch and the Home Office, a ticket to the game, and an all-you-can-eat
food wristband.
Although the Captains lost, everyone enjoyed seeing the group name listed
on the jumbo-tron board several times. It was a lucky night for many of the
branch members: Brittany Handel's name was picked to receive two free
tickets to a future Captains game. Aaron Kukucka caught a t-shirt that
was tossed in the crowed, and members sitting in row G won a free Peanut Buster
Parfait coupon. At the conclusion of the game, the junior branch members were
invited to run across the outfield.
Everyone had a great time, and all the members said they would definitely
attend again next year.
