New Branches Open in Springville, NY
Announcing the opening of not one, but to new branches in the Springville, NY area (just outside of Buffalo): Senior branch S-638 and Junior branch J-535! I covered three states driving there: Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. I spent about an hour in each state—only a three hour trip by car.
Congratulations to the Stephanie and Daniel Pulinski on becoming the very first branch officers! They are now part of FCSLA history.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone who came to the Grand Opening Dinner! My final RSVP count was 60!!! Agent James Jozwiak did a great job to get these new branches started. He was a real pleasure to work with as we planned the dinner. We chose Saturday September 20th at Potts Banquet Hall; what a great choice that was! The food was delicious, Mr. Potts and his staff were great, the hall was really nice, and it was easy to find.
In addition to dinner, my presentation, and a raffle, we had a table of ladies who had a color theme going on with their outfits, and it wasn't planned. There was a nice group of Junior members in attendance—one in particular was celebrating her birthday that night, so we had to sing "Happy Birthday" to Lexi Gajkowski, granddaughter of James and Christine Jozwiak.
Luckily these openings took place in September...before the six 6 feet (yes, I said six feet) of snow arrived in November. They received all that snow in a few days; there was a snowstorm that just sat over them. The photos were incredible.
To all our members, stay warm and safe this winter, and welcome to the FCSLA Family!
